It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Firefighter Barry Cash Monday June 22nd 2009. Barry had been a member of the Union City Fire Department since June 1 1999. He was also a longtime member of the Greenfield fire department. Barry was born Aug 27, 1962 and was 46 years old.

New Hire Testing
We had 87 applications for 4 firefighter positions. Only 55 applicants attended the agility and written test Saturday the 20th. There will be 16 applicants that will continue with the hiring process. The next step is the interviews. Applicants that will advance should be notified by the end of the week.
Hydrants
Hydrant flow testing is nearing completion and we will start to paint several of the hydrants throughout the summer.
